I think the Dems have lost the support of working people because they have long ago instituted a left wing aristocracy that favours big business over the little guy and that was in large part what this essay was about. The progressive policies of Bernie, AOC, the rest of the Squad, etc, would lean more to the left and away from an aristocracy of which Harris was a card carrying member, as shown by her backing procedure over the basic wage rise mentioned herein.

If you read some of Elizabeth Catte's article referenced in this post you'll perhaps see better what I what I mean.
