In my post from October 7th 2022, Republicans Traditionalist Revival…, I wrote that Steve Bannon was a nihilist. I wasn’t the first, and no doubt, I won’t be the last to do so. Frank Bruni, writing in the NYT back in 2017, said Bannon’s real intent was “…to inflict as much pain and ugliness on the G.O.P. as he can. He’s not an ideologue. He’s an arsonist. And he doesn’t care who or what is reduced to ashes.”
