The Nature of Zionism as Settler Colonialism, & the Dark Future it Augurs.

Zionism is not the liberal democratic ideology many would have us believe. The Zionisation of the narrative has led to the illiberalisation of both words and deeds in respect of what the State of Israel should mean to Israelis & to Palestinians; but sadly, never did.

The Lenape or Delaware people; the original residents of what we call today, New York City. Today, Joe Baker, a direct descendant of the Lenape is looking to regain the narrative and perpetuate the memory of his people in American folklore. “This is our Lenape ancestral land,” he explained. “It holds the spirits of our ancestors, our stories as does the entire island.”

Zionism is settler colonialism to some, & recolonisation to others…

Zionism is different. But there have been similarly destructive programmes before. Zionism conforms to a particular type of colonialism that shares many if its’ characteristics with the colonial enterprises that swept across the North American continent, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa.
